Imagine you can revolutionize your home or office with functional 3D printed items!
Your conventional everyday items can go from drab to fab in no time. By continuously layering thin sheets of material (this is how 3D printing works), you can create almost anything your heart desires! Popular items that 3D designers have experimented with include parts for computers, cameras, drones, ornamentals, and accessories for robotics.
With so many 3D printed products on the market, you’re sure to be amazed! Check out some cool products that are grabbing buyers’ attention:
Designers are creating 3D keyboard mounts and ports that are built to last. The mount is extremely strong yet flexible and is compatible with most keyboards. The port, produced from black nylon plastic, is very durable and can be plugged into a docking station. It could also be used with a 3D case which attaches easily to the board.
Sometimes sourcing specific accessories for your cameras can be frustrating. Well, you can relax now. 3D parts are available for your special model or camera design.
For example, 3D ring sleeves that slide over the focus ring allow you a better grip when focusing your camera. Another camera part that can be 3d printed is the lens cap holder, where printing layers that create greater traction can be used to keep your lens cap in place. Tripod platforms, cable door and leap motion holders are all additional 3D printed items that can be very useful to camera owners.
3D printed camera mounts allow your drone to make circular motions. 3D printed landing skids can be used instead of more traditional (and more expensive!) landing gear. You can choose from a wide variety of colors to add style to your drone.
Battery covers and protectors are lightweight and durable and keep the connectors safe. Propellers and blades of varying sizes and colors can also be manufactured in 3D. Other 3D printable accessories for your drone include battery storage holders, battery trays, and alarm holders.
Replacement parts for batteries which are frequently 3d printed include battery trays which are customizable. The side posts and battery terminal covers can also be made to suit your specific device. Battery holders, which may not normally be an example of something that was mass produced, can be obtained using 3D print technology.
If you are into robotics, you’ll love what 3D printers can do for you as there are many one-off robotic parts that can be created much more cheaply with 3d printing that they can sometimes be sourced online!
3D printing technology is also being used to transform regular ornamentals into more appealing items that will enhance your home or office décor. These ornamentals can come in the form of dice, lamps, vases and even sofas!
Everyday items like watches, headphones and money clips, as well as gaming and tablet accessories, can also be manufactured using 3D technology. Even the medical industry is embracing this new wave of technology.
